2010 Nissan GT-R pricing details officially announced

Nissan today unveiled the official details and pricing info on the new 2010 Nissan GT-R. Nissan says that the 2010 GT-R features “five additional horsepower, a revised suspension, updated wheel finishes and standard front seat- and roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags.”

The GT-R’s 3.8L twin-turbo V6 now produces 485-hp (up from 480-hp). The 6-speed, dual-clutch transmission receives a new ”Transmission Control Module (TCM) programming designed to optimize clutch engagement for improved drivability, and improve vehicle acceleration with the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) on (activated)”.

5 more horsepower in an overpriced, overbloated and overhyped, half-shaft snapping, launch control not knowing, horribly ugly, once in a lifetime supercar attempt by a company that never made one in the past, riceburner is not news. News is when the fuel line severs because 3200 rpm was held for 3.4 milliseconds more than allowed, spraying fuel all in the cabin turning the driver into that steak you forgot on the grill last month. You say never, but who would have thought with many engineers working on the drivetrain, including the infamous “launch control device” (more like an auto destructive device…no pun intended) that upon a full throttle start it would snap the 1/2 shaft as if it were a bread stick.

The GT-R suspension is like a mini Veyron. That is what people like Jeremy Clarkson, Chris Harris, and Tiff Needel think. They have driven the most expensive cars in the world. Their opinions are more important than anyone here. No one here has even come close to what they have driven. Poor BMW can’t even touch VAG’s Veyron. They are in huge financial trouble.
