Romania is a country located at the crossroads between Central Europe and South-east, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bordering the Black Sea.  That’s a bit out of the way of the usual real estate markets, but with buildings in Bacau, Oradea, Brasov, Bucharest and Constanta, there’s nothing wrong with Romania investment properties.

Romania shares a border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south.

At 238391 km square, Romania is the ninth biggest region in the Eu Un by region, and the seventh by number of inhabitants 21.9 million individuals.  Romania’s capital (and largest metropolis) is Bucharest, the sixth biggest European metropolis with almost two million people.

The Kingdom of Romania is the principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia, which have been united beneath Prince Alexander Ioan Cuza in 1859. The independence of the Ottoman Empire was stated in May 1877 and was internationally recognized in the following year.

At the end of World War I, Transylvania, Bessarabia and Bukovina became the United Kingdom of Romania.
